How far in advance to
order your cake: Orders for wedding cakes can be high especially
in the summer months so please let us know your wedding date as soon
as possible. We do accept short notice cake orders subject to
the availability of the date required. |

Prices: Prices of
wedding cakes vary according to size and shape of cake that you choose and
the complexity of the decoration. For a price guide - 2 tier
fruit wedding cakes from £200, 3 tier fruit wedding cakes from
£300. Please contact us for a free, no obligation, personal quote. |

Sizes: We can
advise on sizes of cakes required to cater for the number of guests
at your wedding. Consider whether you want to keep the top tier and
also whether you need additional slices to post to guests not
attending your wedding. |

Wedding Cake Gallery:
Cakes in the gallery can be made any shape, size and colour with
different flowers and decoration if required. The cakes in the
gallery are just a small sample of designs we have made. |

You do not have to choose
from the gallery: We pride ourselves on designing individual
wedding cakes and can create a cake for you incorporating your ideas
and wishes, ring or come to see us to discuss your
requirements. |

Fruit or Sponge: All
tiers can be fruit or sponge, or you can have a combination of fruit
and sponge tiers. |
 |
Cake Ingredients: We
never use any prepared cake mixes for our cakes, we mix each cake
individually, all ingredients are of the highest quality. All
our fruit cakes contain nuts, unless otherwise specified. All
cakes are covered in marzipan (optional on sponge cakes) and soft
icing or royal icing. Chocolate wedding cakes are made with a
variety of chocolate fillings and decorations - see chocolate cake

Colourings
and Ingredients: Every
cake is handmade and although every effort will be made to match up
colours and designs chosen, differences can occur and I therefore
reserve the right to use judgment when creating the cake and make a
slight change if required.
Please be aware that whilst your cake may not have nuts or a nut
product present in it, it will be prepared in a kitchen where these
products are used.
Fruit
cakes are always covered in a coating of marzipan before icing.
Some of the items on your
cake might be made out of sugar-paste, we strongly recommend that
these are not eaten as they contain a high concentrate of colouring.
The decorations may also contain wires, jewels and other non-edible
products. It is yours or your caterer’s responsibility to ensure
that these non-edible products are removed before serving the cake
to yourself or your guests. Alternatively, we can provide a fully
edible cake that is not so highly decorated or coloured.

Payment: A
non refundable deposit of one third of the total cost of your cake is required
to secure your booking, with the balance
due a month before the wedding date. Payment should be made
by cash or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Mrs. S. Poole.

Non Payment:
Please note, that if full payment of the wedding cake
is not received 28 days prior to the delivery, collection and/or
set-up date, it is assumed that the cake has been cancelled. The
cancellation policy, therefore, applies in all cases |

Cancellation:
If you cancel your wedding cake for any reason up to a month before
the designated wedding date the deposit paid is non-refundable. All
other monies paid will be refunded by cheque within 14 days of
cancellation.
If your wedding cake is cancelled less than
a month before the designated wedding date no refund will be paid.

Change
of Wedding Date: If, for any reason you
wish to re-arrange the date of your wedding, Tickled Pink will try
its best to accommodate these changes without any additional charges
provided sufficient notice is given and that we are able to provide
a cake for the re-arranged wedding date. However, if we are fully
booked on your new wedding date and cannot provide the wedding cake,
it will not be possible to refund your deposit.

Collection or Delivery:
Delivery of wedding cakes within the local area will be free of
charge; there may be an additional charge for deliveries further
afield. Collection can
be made by prior arrangement.
Once the cake has been collected or delivered,
Tickled Pink cannot be held responsible for any interference or
damage to the cake

Setting-Up:
Whilst Tickled Pink will try to ensure that your
cake is presented at its very best we cannot be held responsible for
the location of the cake at the venue, the stability of the table,
or how level the table is which the cake is displayed on, or the
quality of the surroundings around the cake. Please ensure,
therefore, that the 'cake presentation table' is level, stable and
strong enough to hold the cake. Please also remember that chocolate
covered cakes can melt under extreme conditions as are found within
a marquee on a hot summers day.

Pillars and Boxes: Cakes
will be provided with pillars if required, and will be individually
boxed except for stacked cakes which are stacked together and the
cake in a single box. |

Cake Stand and Knife Hire: We
have base stands, round & square, and shaped stands with wedding
cake knives for hire, see cake stand hire on left of page.
All equipment, stand and
knives require a cash deposit. The deposit will be reimbursed in
full to the hirer on safe return of the hired equipment provided it
has not suffered any damage whatsoever. Damage includes: cuts,
chips, scratches, breakages, cracks, rips, tears, dents, bending,
staining and discolouration. All hired equipment should be clean and
in the original packaging provided. Failure to do this can result in
Tickled Pink withholding the deposit in part or full. In addition,
failure to return the hired equipment on the specified day will
carry a penalty of £5 per item per day until the entire deposit is
lost.
